made you look...
i've always been interested in art surrealism, pre-raphaelite movement, cubism, abstract,.... grafitti. In the summer i love walking through galleries and visiting art exhibitions. (Its my geeky side ) But ever since Banksy has been painting on walls with controversial pieces, street art has become a new obsession for me. On my travels whenever i see a piece of art that catches my eye, the crackberry comes out and i take snapshots. East London's Bricklane where i literally grew up round the corner is where i have found most pieces that catch my eye, not to mention london's quriky Notting Hill. It's seriously about time that i invest in my nixon.
it's to DYE for ...
D.I.Y. BOTOX...WELL I NEVER :O
My train journeys to and from work consist of reading a novel or a newspaper, trying to inhale the little bit of oxygen that is available on the crammed london underground, through the hustle and bustle of school children and business men and women. I normally find myself squashed up against a window and am a victim to children in push-chairs pulling faces on the platform. However, today, (thank God for the world cup) meant my journey was far less chaotic. Whilst reading the newspaper i stumbled across an article about D.I.Y. Botox. Women all over the world battle with preserving their beauty in an attempt to look 10 years younger, and as i read the article in the back of mind i heard a unanimous cheer from women who now know that they can preserve their youth for £150!!! (as oppose to celebs who pay thousands to tighten up their faces).
Focus-Cit, £29. 95,mimics the results of Botox in a mere 2hrs!! Plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernanades launched a small device with 15mini needles that prick the skin surface, injecting anti-ageing ingredients. You later apply the lonzyme Focus Frown Serum £119 which acts as Botox preventing expression lines, claiming visible results. Not only did it have me hanging on to everyword and wanting to investigate further, it was evident to see that this was going to be a big hit in the near future for those who don't have the bank accounts of Katie Price and the Minogue sisters (advocats for botoxs). It'll be handbags at dawn!!

IN FULL BLOOM...
So despite feeling like i have neglected my blog , i have a valid explanation. I went away on a girly holiday with my sister and cousin. Arriving at the airport and being told i was 2kg over and that i had to pay £50!!! i had to unpack and show my undies to the whole of luton airport (very classy). Thank God for the oversize bag, because my hand luggage could fit two more people inside. But, as perusual, i seem to OVER OVERPACK. i don't know why?! One can never be to sure what the weather will be like, if you have over eaten can no longer fit into that dress, so precautions must be taken. We arrived at the hotel, intending to just have breakfast and put because they ran out of wristbands to identify we were given ALL INCLUSIVE!!!!
All in all the holiday was amazing despite the 2hr delay on the way back deprived of food and unable to stretch my legs. Went on a Safari 60,000 ft above the ground, rode a camel, scubadived, attended a drag queen show and went found some vintage bargains at the market.
For me going on holiday means one thing only ...A new wardrobe, though i didn't wear 2/3's of the clothing...but i did however wear this lovely racer back piece from TOPSHOP slightly too big, but a few alterations should fix all of that. My floral obsession is expanding but nevertheless i will be wearing this dress time and time again ...some new wedges should finish it off!!!

Don't mocc me !!!
last year when i was rocking my moccasin shoes i did receive some odd look from spectators but as the old saying goes ...never judge a 'Mocc" by its cover. 2000, saw Kate Moss showcase the mocc folled by Sienna Miller with the fringed boot, 5 years later and Nicole Richie who designed her own House of Harlow moccasins. Recently the bohemian staple piece is back on every fashionistas wishlist. High street store such as OFFICE,TOPSHOP & ASOS are stocking them in vivid bold colours key for S/S10. For me, these shoes ooze comfyness as oppose to sky scrapper heels that we women love to wear and after a night out these hippy style shoes are perfect to hobble home in .... so when it comes to comfort ...please ...don't mocc me !

white wash
This season's perennial favourite colour is white which has its dark side as this colour can be carried from day into night. A holiday classic which works even better with a summer glow. The classic LBD has now been replace with the LWD- LONG WHITE DRESS- from Gianfranco Ferre grecian frock to Rachel Roy bejewelled piece. to keep these offsetting statement dresses on trend keep hair, make-up natural and jewelry minimal. The british highstreet as always have created affordable pieces that can be for both day and night and a trip to your local haberdashery department and a glue gun can transcend your outfit !!!
CAGED BIRDS ...

Today's source of inspiration, MAYA ANGELOU'S NOVEL I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS. For years i keep telling myself i will, one day read her novels. For my birthday, my friend bought my two of the novels that make up her autobiography and the first page grabbed my attention i'm attempting to finish it asap, but i have so much on my plate right now. Whatever you doing ...hope your having a good day.

BLOOMING MARVELOUS....
I've been away for a while, finishing my work experience at a magazine company(where i met the most amazing fashion savvy people ever- who look good effortlessly) and finishing university officially (which consisted of BBQ'S, raves, drinking -the usual lifestyle for ALL students) which meant i have neglected my blog for a little, but i'm back and thought i'd share some photos of my time away.
I must confess my fashion fetish for this summer is FLORALS! to the extent that every other item i seem to be buying is floral inspired ...i can't seem to get enough of 'em, which is weird because in reality i'm not a flower person, don't particularly like them ...random i know. A university was coming to an end my friends and i decided to do spontaneous things everyday of the week, go-karting with the boys , playing basketball, picnics and a spontaneous day out to Windsor-where we took i stroll, ate, drank, shopped and looked back on the old. Windsor was also the place where i was savagely attacked by a pigeon! i felt to wear a little topshop floral playsuit and team it off with a H&M denim waistcoat to lift my mood as i knew this would be the last time i saw most of these ladies for a good month as summer is here holidays..etc ... so for uni i guess ( in the words of boyz II men ), 'so we've come, to the end of the road ...still i can't let go ...'
