wireless festival !!! ....turn on ..tune in...rock out !!!!!

My first ever festival !!!! and boy oh boy did it live up to its expectations ...and so much more !!!! my three closest friends (from left to right: Lauren, Kaley and April) and, boarded the train jampacked with hundreds of other festival goers ready to hear some good music, eat, drink and be merry!!! We thought in order to spend so much money on liquor, that we would buy before hand and drink in the queue...well knowing our luck, the queue was moving fast and the realisation kicked in that we had to drink two bottles of rose before we got there. No task is ever too big for us four... but we paid the price ( me especially- never have i consumed so much in such a small amount of time!).
All the acts i wanted to see were amazing ..lily allen, professor green, tinie tempah, friendly fires, chace and status, j.cole, wale, delvin, mr hudson and Jay -Z !!!  a day to remember... with mosh pits, hand sanitizers, portable loos, chips, greasy calorie ridden burgers .... and fabulous friends to share priceless moments with...we rocked out !!!

oooh btw a little piece of friendly advice NEVER wear WHITE as SWEAT+DIRT = BLEURRRGH!!! and wellies or boots are def a festival investment!!

childish moments..ever thine.. ever mine...ever ours...

(above blinging rings)
(obsessed with slouchy bags: primark)
(lace top:primark summer obsession floral shorts:warehouse)

Absence makes the heart grow fonder as the ol' saying goes! For the past three years i lived in a bubble, having the same routine and structure everyday at uni and now that it's all over ( yes i'm still banging on) i'm lost without two central people in my life, my non blondes!!! After a couple of weeks without seeing them i met up with my oatmeal raisin (jasveen)and the two of us got up to our old tricks! It's surreal that things will never be the same, but she is a huge part of my life. A rendez-vous back on campus was the perfect location, hide and seek, the riverbank, willows and iced lattes and panini's were an added bonus! Oh Jas! m partner in crime how i love thee... and this post is my mini ode to you!!!!
On the train journey to my uni, i decided to read the book that capitivated my heart last year (after watching Sex and the City) 'Love letters of Great Men'. A little uncanny as Jasveen was the person who bought it for me too!!! But i love literature and pre 20th Century literature ...i'm in my element when i read. It made me think of the lengths that men went to capture the one that they loved ..unlike today where chivalry is becoming so dead. As for myself a single 21 year old living in london ....the love of my life is Jasveen (and Tracey -my other non blonde), but as this post is an ode to her, i conclude (in the words of Ludwig Van Beethoven) ...
You-my Life- my All- Farwell (until our next reunion)
Oh, go on loving me -never doubt
the faithfullest heart
of your beloved
M
Ever thine
Ever mine
Ever ours .

made you look...

i've always been interested in art surrealism, pre-raphaelite movement, cubism, abstract,.... grafitti. In the summer i love walking through galleries and visiting art exhibitions. (Its my geeky side ) But ever since Banksy has been painting on walls with controversial pieces, street art has become a new obsession for me. On my travels whenever i see a piece of art that catches my eye, the crackberry comes out and i take snapshots. East London's Bricklane where i literally grew up round the corner is where i have found most pieces that catch my eye, not to mention london's quriky Notting Hill. It's seriously about time that i invest in my nixon.

it's to DYE for ...

We're in Summer and yet i'm looking ahead and planning my winter wardrobe. A sneak peek at Ana Locking's A/W 10 Collection is literally to DYE for. Bold Colours, structured shapes and chunky accesories are definately on my wishlist ....not to mention the shoes...Locking's done it again.
Nous sommes x Karl Lagerfeld

parisian brand Nous Sommes  have created pendant pieces featuring the iconic Karl Lagerfeld. They have also created pieces featuring Lady Gaga and MJ. Their blog is quirky and innovative and i'm hooked.

D.I.Y. BOTOX...WELL I NEVER :O

My train journeys to and from work consist of reading a novel or a newspaper, trying to inhale the little bit of oxygen that is available on the crammed london underground, through the hustle and bustle of school children and business men and women. I normally find myself squashed up against a window and am a victim to children in push-chairs pulling faces on the platform. However, today, (thank God for the world cup) meant my journey was far less chaotic. Whilst reading the newspaper i stumbled across an article about D.I.Y. Botox. Women all over the world battle with preserving their beauty in an attempt to look 10 years younger, and as i read the article in the back of mind i heard a unanimous cheer from women who now know that they can preserve their youth for £150!!! (as oppose to celebs who pay thousands to tighten up their faces).
Focus-Cit, £29. 95,mimics the results of Botox in a mere 2hrs!! Plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernanades launched a small device with 15mini needles that prick the skin surface, injecting anti-ageing ingredients. You later apply the lonzyme Focus Frown Serum £119 which acts as Botox preventing expression lines, claiming visible results. Not only did it have me hanging on to everyword and wanting to investigate further, it was evident to see that this was going to be a big hit in the near future for those who don't have the bank accounts of Katie Price and the Minogue sisters (advocats for botoxs). It'll be handbags at dawn!!
